I've never owned another RK, but from what I understand this is the same as the well reviewed RK-35, but instead of having a tone ring, the top of the pot is "tone ring shaped". It gives this banjo a more mellow tone and a significant weight savings. I copied and pasted the specs on this instrument from a dealer's website.
This banjo is stock except for the bridge. I've used a couple of different bridges on this banjo. Currently it has a moon bridge on it. I can't find the stock bridge, so I'll send it with the moon.
Search the forums on this banjo - let other people sing it's praises. If I wasn't funding a new project and I didn't have another banjo that covers similar ground, this would be sticking around, but when you want new toys, decisions have to be made.
It comes with the HSC in the picture.
I'm happy to do calls, video calls, sound clips, whatever, just let me know. I want you do be confident in your purchase, as I don't want to do returns.
I live in the Twin Cities, but travel to Madison, Milwaukee and Fargo for work, and if you're in the general area of those cities or the path between one of them and Minneapolis, let me know and I'm happy to drop it off.
