2007 Gibson Blackjack in very very good condition. Not "excellent" because of typical aging patina to gold plate over copper, which looks dark. See photos. Gold worn on tuners. Tiny bit of gold wear on flange (flange apparently not copper flashed). Finish is excellent.
Sound is brutally loud, clear, deep tone, typical mahogany short duration notes. great carrying power. I used this banjo for on-stage work playing through sound system. You do NOT have to get close to the mike! This model is not "just" a mahogany Granada. No, not at all!
Tailpiece suffered typical break and bend; tailpiece base replaced with Golden Gate gold plated. I put the original "X" engraved tailpiece cover on the Golden Gate (see photos). Tops of tension hooks showed nickel through worn gold, so I replaced them with Prucha gold over copper "heavy coverage" to match the tension hoop and tone ring (see photos). Original parts all in case.
Almost no fret wear. 4 capo nails A to C. Original Gibson case with shroud, excellent condition, combo lock never set, still pinned with red plastic.
