This original 1927 Gretsch Orchestrella "American" model 5-string is the only one I've ever seen or heard of. It is gold plated, engraved and very clean with all original parts, including planetary tuners, case and even pick holder and case key. With a unique 14-hole arch top tone ring and maple rim, it produces a robust tone with considerable volume suitable for many styles. Maple 3-piece neck is straight and frets show little or no signs of use. A true time capsule example of a very rare, collectable "golden age" 5-string banjo.
