Beautiful Mahogany Flatiron Silverbow banjo. “Flatiron” is engraved on the tailpiece and armrest. New StewMac gold frets (medium/medium size) look great and offer extended fret life. Original tuners are working smoothly. Metal work is bright with minimal patina. A sliding fifth string capo has been removed and the two holes filled. Spikes at 7&9. The resonator has been repaired and refinished with Mohawk pre-cat lacquer. The damage occurred during shipping. Banjo has wonderful tone with ample volume. Perfect for bluegrass with a loud and cutting voice. Can also be easily converted into an open back banjo thanks to its shoe bracket construction. Comes with original case that is clean and fully functional with numerous scuffs and tears in the exterior covering.
