In the 1970s Stewart MacDonald offered a ring to convert from flathead TO archtop..
About 100 of these were produced....making them very rare...
I've used these over the years in banjos and they sound amazing!
This one seems to be chrome/nickel blend..
Kind of like the Baker tailpieces were..
