A 1927 Vega Tubaphone pot serial number 89079 fitted with a new custom 5 string neck crafted by me. The pot is all original except for the tailpiece and head.The neck was crafted from Honduran Mahogany and Walnut. The 4 peghead tuners are Gotohs and the 5th string tuner is a 5 Star. The scale is 26 1/4". String height is 3 mm above the 12th fret with a 5/8 bridge. The banjo plays easy and has that one and only Tubaphone sound. The banjo has the original case which is functional, but rather beat up and held together with duct tape. The pictures tell the tale with all parts showing. Wonderfull piece of banjo history and a great player for both clawhammer or bluegrass picking.
