Prewar Gibson Oriole Rim and Resonator. It has long been argued that the Pre-War sound comes primarily from the aged wood, and this banjo has that! This banjo is absolutely stunning! It has a full thickness prewar rim from a 1929 Gibson Oriole banjo. The flange was attached with shoe brackets leaving holes on the inside of the rim (see photo). It has been customized for a one piece Prucha flange and metal hardware. It comes with a neck crafted by Arthur Hatfield, and a vintage Huber tone ring. It has Rickard 10:1 tuners, and has been engraved and gold plated.
This banjo has lots of volume and a really nice crack. Good separation of notes, clear and crisp.
It does not come with the Cheat-a-keys, or strap.
