Sloan Tone Ring
Posted By: Ceres Banjo Works (+100) | Rate Member
This vintage Gibson left the factory in 1957 as a TB-100. It has now been converted to a Style 4 by Clancy Mullins with a fantastic walnut neck with flying eagle inlay. The back of the peghead shows 2 small holes where Apollo "Mighty D-tuners" has been previously installed. The original resonator was re-skinned by Clancy with burl walnut and concentric rings of wood marquetry in the classic style of a 4. The rim was fitted with a Sloan 20-hole tone ring. If you need additional pictures or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking!
