I just got this beauty in on consignment.
I'm told it was made circa 1926.
It features a custom made birds-eye maple neck that is absolutely stunning! The original resonator is just as gorgeous.
The tone coming out of this banjo really shocked me as to how good it sounds and also how well it projects. Even as an open-back, which it easily converts to, you will definitely be heard playing this one. The play-ability is also excellent up and down the board.
Another really cool deal is it comes shipped in a pre-war redline case that was originally made for a tenor banjo but has been expertly modified to fit a 5-string banjo.
