This banjo was built by the late Kenny Cardin of Charlestown IN. This banjo is built in the classic Mastertone style with a beautiful walnut neck and resonator. The majority of Cardin banjo parts were from First Quality in Louisville KY. This banjo is currently set up with a smooth First Quality head like a Five Star and can be swapped to a Remo top frosted if the buyer desires. The Serial number is 910-01 so maybe this was built in 2001?? The banjo shows obvious wear here and there with hardly any fret wear. At one time this banjo had a sliding 5th string capo that was removed at some point. Ken built many professional grade banjos and this one is fantastic with the "crack" of walnut and the depth of a flat head. If you desire any additional pictures or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
