Clifford Essex Regal, serial number 251, probably from the 1930s. The neck is straight, inlays original and frets show little wear. The action is nice — just under 4/32 inch at the 12th fret with a 1/2” bridge. Nylon strings, excellent for classic banjo which is how I used it. At around 9 pounds it's a little heavy for me to handle nowadays, which is why I'm selling.
Yes there's a case -- a curious one made of plywood -- which is either homemade or built by CE during WW2 when materials were scarce.
Sorry, no shipping outside the USA. I don’t want to deal with CITES issues.
Thanks for looking!
