1929 Gibson TB3, mahogany neck and resonator, cut rim for a long skirt flathead ring. Overall in very good condition. The original tenor neck is in very fine condition and fully functional. Original tenor Grover Patent Presto and Grover pancake tuners. Shipped in a period correct tenor case, not original to banjo, or modern TKL tenor case.
The original flange was broken which is not unusual for a fat rim 3. Prewar TB00 flange, very flat, was machined by Steve Huber to fit to the rim. Steve noted the rim was only 0.060" out of round. Shipped with either the Aurora Tone Ring fitted by Frank Neat or the original 40-hole archtop ring.
Banjo is also being offered as a Frank Neat 5-string conversion. Several pictures are with the conversion neck, tenor neck pictures added.
