I purchased a marriage of two banjos...an original turn-of-the-century J. B. Schall 5 string neck and a solid one-piece aluminum arch top resonator/body. NOTE: I’m ONLY selling the pot/resonator assembly; I bought it for the neck/dowel stick, hoping to find a Schall pot down the road. When I bought it, there were no ODE markings on the cast aluminum, but the detachable resonator has "ODE" stamped in the middle of the inside back in the walnut wood (see photos), so my guess is this could possible be an early ODE custom resonator. The ODE stamp (inside of resonator) is pictured with a toothpick for scale. The apparently custom aluminum metalwork of the resonator body houses the walnut back which is fitted perfectly inside the aluminum circular body. All the hardware is nice and matching. With all the pot & resonator metal portion being aluminum, this is a heavy and substantial.
