Gibson JD Crowe, replaced Presto with vintage Gold Star adjustable Presto otherwise all original w/original Gibson case.
Occasionally you'll come across one of these banjos (not most,,, but a few) that have had the original Crowe rings removed and replaced because these Crowe rings sound so darn good, some people keep em. This one has it's original ring ( with "Gibson" and serial # 5xxx imprinted on the lip).
Has the classic dry, rich pop these banjos are known for.
Small chip at back of headstock (see photo) otherwise stellar appearance.
You don't see these every day, especially at this price.
