Hi Everyone:
Here's a nice looking mountain-style banjo, made by an unknown non-professional builder, in Virginia, around 2008. I haven't been playing it, so I am selling it as a project banjo, as you may have some setup to do on it. (This is a home-made style banjo, rather than a fine instrument made by a known mountain banjo maker.) Some features of the instrument:
* Maple pot, walnut neck, skin head over what appears to be a wooden internal rim
* fretless, with a metal plate up to about the 5th-peg area
* measurement from nut to bridge = 24"
* width of pot = 10 1/8"
* width of head = 6"
* Currently strung with wire strings, and an ordinary store-bought bridge
Comes in a very thin gig-bag. Link to an album in the "more info" URL.
Let me know if you are interested, and I can get a shipping cost for you.
