Originally a 1926 Gibson bracket and shoe, diamond flange TB-1, this is an Arthur Hatfield conversion. Arthur’s wonderful neck is mahogany with Flying Eagle inlays, a “speed neck” finish and Ebony fingerboard. The rim and resonator are original to the banjo. All the metal parts (except one original tensioning rod) are new and were made in Jaroslav Prucha’s shop in the Czech Republic. The banjo has a Hatfield, 20-hole tone ring installed and perfectly fitted by Mr. Hatfield. A Scorpion Bridge is included. Keith Stainless Steel tuners are fitted for the first and fourth strings, with matching Keith SS D-Tuners on the second and third strings. The fifth string has a geared tuning peg. The fingerboard has spikes at frets 6, 7, 8, and 9. The suede Levy cradle strap shown, as well as a brass Mike’s Banjo Mute are included. The banjo will be shipped in a high quality TKL American Vintage Series case. This a really great sounding and playing instrument. Buyer pays actual shipping costs.
