Here is a beautiful conversion done by the late great Robin Smith of Heartland Banjo Co. Firstly, we have an almost entirely all-original KK-11 pot (just the armrest and maybe a few hooks/one nut are reproductions). The blue rim has seen some wear and tear but it remains uncut with the brass rod on top. Flange has very little pull but had three tiny cracks that were beautifully and almost invisibly repaired near the first of the three original thumbscrews. Banjo has a coverless window tailpiece and a pre-EPA Remo. Gotoh tuners are all fitted with matching set of prewar ivoroid buttons.

Robin's neck was finished brown to match the visible outside of the rim (which was taken down to brown decades ago) and the resonator sidewalls (same). With MOP inlays inspired by the original KKs, this has the KK vibe without the pearloid. Comes in a very nice vintage hardshell case.

Includes original KK-11 neck and tenor case.

Shipping in the continental USA is included at this price
