This is an almost new Gold Tone OB-250 Lightweight. It sounds great, but I have only played it on occasion. There is no wear on the frets. I need to thin the herd. This banjo is ideal for someone who has a back condition or just wants a lightweight banjo to play. It does not have a brass tone ring, instead having a maple rim that is lathed to have a wood flathead edge to the rim. It has a 3-play Canadian Rock Maple lathed tone rim. The hardware is chrome plated. The resonator is 14-inch flamed maple. It has wood binding, and the banjo weighs just 9.9 pounds. Gold Tone has a sound sample on their website.
