Description
Warren Yates is making incredible Pre War Gibson style Banjos here in the USA. This is a 2015 version of the Yates Banjo and is a great copy of the Earl Scruggs 49 Classic.
This has a Curly Maple Neck and Resonator. The fretboard is rosewood with a Bowtie inlay. This has all nickel hardware including a one piece flange and 20 hole tone ring. The Banjo is all original.
This has a lot of pop while being smoothed out with the rosewood fretboard. This is a strong banjo for volume and plays very well. Includes a hardshell case.
Condition
The banjo is in perfect structural condition with some age to give it the vintage vibe. The finish shows little playwear but has a patina. The neck is a speed neck which means the finish on the back has been sanded off for faster fretting. The hardware has some tarnish but again this banjo has the vibe. The frets and fretboard are in great shape and this has spikes at frets 7 and 8 and 9. The case is also clean.
Set Up
This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Sosebee Bridge. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this is a stellar player. This is truly a top quality pro grade banjo in every way and is professionally prepared to rock.
