Description
Gibson made 15 RB75 Banjos with a Thinner Finish which was similar to the Finish used on the Pre War Gibson Banjos. This is one of those Banjos. This is absolutely a special instrument that does stand apart from a standard RB75.
This has a mahogany neck and resonator with a rosewood fretboard that has a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. The Banjo is all original with an original Gibson USA one piece flange and an original Gibson Crowe Tone Ring. The armrest is a one piece and this has the original Presto Tailpiece.
The banjo also includes the Certificate of Authenticity, original Warranty Paper and the original Gibson Hardshell Case.
Condition
This is in great shape with minor signs of use. The resonator finish is very clean but there are a couple spots probably from a shirt button. The neck and resonator look great still and are clean. The fretboard and frets are very clean with spikes at frets 7,8, and 9.
All of the metal has been polished and really looks good. This is a clean banjo with a clean case. This is a clean package.
Set Up
This has a Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Sosebee and the strings are Huber. This banjo has been set up for power and to produce some bang and pop.
This is a rare banjo that does legitimately give a special and unique Gibson Banjo Experience.
