Beautiful Rickard conversion of a super-clean Vega 11 3/8" Style X9 Tubaphone (serial #48493) using the original dowel. Just a little note on this rare pot size - hits a special sweet spot between an 11" and a 12"...the sound is awesome. Repro no-knot, John Balch 4-Star Special Select skin head mounted for this specific pot. Schaller tuners with vintage ivoroid buttons. The neck is maple and virtually unplayed. If you've ever played a Rickard neck, you'll know how lovely they play, with great fretwork and inlays and top-notch woods. Banjo is set up for low action with a 11/16" bridge. Hardware is exceptionally clean and it plays and sounds wonderful.

Comes in a new Superior Gig Bag.
