In 2005 I won the National Banjo Championship at Winfield, Kansas, and the first prize was this wonderful banjo. I'm selling it because I have two other world class instruments, and this one does not get the play time it deserves.
This instrument was rarely played over the last 18 years, and is in like new condition.
These banjos new are selling for $7,000 - $11,000 or more.
It is a beautiful instrument visibly, and has a wonderful bright tone, with plenty of punch and volume.
This banjo has the Kruger tone ring, and a flat fingerboard.
Curly Maple with a brilliant full bodied tone, deep bass, brilliant highs, The Saratoga Star is one of the most elegantly beautiful modern banjos to enter the musical arena of classic instruments.
There is only a small blemish on the resonator which is barely visible. I have kept it in pristine condition for these 18 years. It deserves to be in the hands of someone who will play it daily.
Comes with a Deering hard shell case and Cheat A Keys (d tuners).
