Not entirely sure who made this rim but if anyone can tell me, I’d appreciate it. I believe it to be a Cox or a Sullivan but those are just educated guesses.
This came out of a very damaged “The King” banjo I wound up with. The Kings were assembled from high quality parts (Kulesh tonerings, Prucha Hardware, Sullivan Necks, ect) but I have no idea who did the rims. This one is marked with a stamp that reads “032” and best I can figure it’s from roughly 2006.
No less, it’s a nicely made three ply maple rim cut for a flathead tonering and a one piece flange. It’s already been stained and finished. You be looking a at least $200+ dollars to buy a comparable rim new.
Thanks for looking and feel free to reach out with any questions.
