Monday, April 28 Laura Rose Pettit arrived! Weighing in at 8 pounds 2 ounces, 22 inches long.
My son in California called me, woke us up at 3:30am, 7:30pm PDT to let me know! Mom and baby are doing fine.
I can hardly wait to visit to see her!

Congratulations! Grandchildren are God's reward for not having killed your children (lame joke, I know). Grandchildren are wonderful - I can hardly wait until I have some. They make the grandparents look wise in the eyes of the parents. Laura Rose is beautiful, and she is a big girl - a grandparent's delight!
