After tours of Spain and Ukraine earlier this year, I joined my good friend U. Rajesh and his amazing South Indian electric mandolin chops for a concert at Nashville's 5-Spot. After a beach week with Nashville bluegrass band Off the Wagon, I returned to Nashville to rehearse for a Music City Roots concert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q62G_HSuZTw
New to drum kit in No Man's Land, Hamilton Hardin is the drum star this lineup really needed! Please check out his Youtube video of "Grand Dragon." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQVCqhpD4_Y
In late July we played 3 days of concerts in North Carolina. For one of these concerts I was honored to have my lifelong banjo mentor Rex McGee. Rex and I played a banjo fiddle concert for University of NC's Front Porch Series. We hadnt played in year, but our music sounded wonderful to us and it was good to play with an old friend of 22 yrs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VmkjQEhhtQ&feature=related
Shortly after, I came back to Nashville with No Man's Land to play yet another concert at Nashville's 5-Spot along with bands, Hindugrass, and Guthrie Trapp!
Right now, I am working on learning some Bluegrass music for 'Jeff and Vida' who I will be touring with this month in NorthCarolina. http://www.jeffandvida.com/JeffVida/Welcome.html
Ryan Cavanaugh and No Man's land is pleased to mention that we will be playing at the International Newgrass Festival this year on August 20th. We will also be playing Head Jamz www.headjamzfestival.com in Adams, TN on September 3rd, and the Bluegrass Underground on September 24th.

Hi Ryan,
Just a heads up that last link "ryancavanaugh.com" goes to a dead page. Maybe you're still working on the page. Love your music!

Ryan, your cover story in the August Banjo Newsletter was really insightful and you did a great job of bringing your musical journey of exploration to life. You seem like you're in a good place right now with lots of options with the gigs you mention in this blog. I love where you've come from and am excited to see where you go next.
