Allow me to be the first to welcome Shlomo Pestcoe to BHO:

I met Shlomo over the phone back when I worked at Elderly; he was a regular customer and super cool guy (still is). Check out his page and welcome him! He's an awesome addition to our community. He's currently doing cool research on the early/African roots of the banjo. I hope you post here about that stuff, Shlomo.

Hey Shlomo! Welcome to the BHO. Nice to know that I'm not the only banjo player hailing from Brooklyn.

Hiya Schlomo! ..Thanks again for the info on slave banjos...Don`t knoew if the museum actually used it in their display, as they were specifically looking for info on NY state slave affairs.
There is , however, a new museum being built around the underground railroad,..right up the road from me. I am going to build an akontiong,..that might interest them.
Happy frailin` to ya!

Welcome Shlomo! I look forward to learning more about banjo origins when the talk turns that way.

Well, I don't know you, Shlomo/Schlomo, but based on your curl-surrounded smile, your musical tastes, and your blog, I think I'd like you if I did know you. So welcome!
Unfortunately, all those interesting-sounding articles on your weblog rebuffed me, telling me if I wasn't a member of something or other, I had NO RIGHT to be there.
