I have this 1970s Alvarez and I’m not sure if it is a bowtie deluxe or a minstrel.

It has bowtie inlays/ It's a Minstrel. I don't know if there were different levels. What does it matter? It was just a differently decorated version of the otherwise exact same banjo built in japan by Kasuga and exported with many different names on it.
One interesting detail in one of your photos is the brass rod up inside the pot metal tone ring. Not all the bowtie banjos had this.
