Can anyone recommend someone who can look at and properly set up a B&D Silverbell? I would prefer someone within an hour's drive of Hartford, CT but if there is someone who specializes in this manufacturer then I would be willing to either drive further or ship.

I bought this banjo over a year ago and never have had it looked at. I have no idea if the previous owner/s did either.

Thanks for any help.

Ken

Dave at D String Repair in Sturbridge, MA.

There's also Paul Neri in Clinton, but he can be hard to get a hold of.

I recommend Jane Hamel in East Hampton MA. She is an excellent luthier.

Dave "Tex" Orlomoski in Barkhamsted CT on Rt 44 west of Hartford. Good guitar, mandolin and banjo guy. A banjo player himself too.

Thanks for your replies. I have tried more than a few times to contact D String Repair but never got a response. I had forgotten about Dave Orlomski. If he is a member here I'll try to contact him. I recommended a friend to him about 5 years ago but she is gone and I don't have his number in my phone contacts.
