In keeping with the season, this week's TOTW is Tex Logan's masterpiece, now a bluegrass standard, "Christmas Time's A-Comin.'" First recorded by Bill Monroe in 1951 (when Tex was 24), it has since been widely recorded by numerous bluegrass and country artists. If you're not familiar with mathematician, engineer and fiddler Tex Logan, this is enlightening: youtube.com/watch?v=NU4l7xFhQdA
Though known as a bluegrass piece, CTA-C fits nicely in the old-time genre. Emmylou Harris = (Ricky Skaggs on clawhammer banjo: youtube.com/watch?v=Yem_U7lcW3...t_radio=1

I love this song, Bill! We learned it from Bill Monroe's 1951 recording. (I tried to embed it from youtube, but it's blocked). Knowing Ricky Skaggs played Christmas Time's A-Comin' on clawhammer banjo is a big bonus.
