Man, that sucks! Max is a really nice kid in addition to being a fabulous player.

28 granada with a burlile ring and neat neck, sounds like one helluva banjo and also very identifiable if it ever resurfaces.

Maybe a pawnshop will pick it up. LEO checks those places out regularly.

Whoever stole that is either pretty effin ignorant or exceptionally knowledgeable. The rarity of crooks of the latter sort makes me optimistic about its recovery. Keeping an eye out....!

Yeah, but one of us may get a great deal on a Granada. (kidding)

A few years ago I was taking a walk I the woods with my dog and found pitched in the trees an absolutely amazing custom built racing bike.
Walked it out of the woods, and with the help of the internet I found a forum for the builder. Put up a post about finding this bike.
Few days later I received an email from a guy who lived a few hundred miles away. Absolutely his bike. Serial numbers and photos to prove it. He was before he was a surgeon on a few professional US racing teams and this was the bike that he won a major race on. Very important to him emotionally. He drove that day to retrieve it and was in tears when he saw it.
One Bizarre thing was that the guy was my doppelgänger and we shared the same birthday. My Wife was so surprised when she saw him that she took a few pictures of us together.
I hope this thread ends the same way.

Sadly, what might happen is that the thief will discover that it is unsalable to the usual fences. So it will likely end up being played by a gutter punk or traveler until it falls apart.
This level of instrument is too specific and easy to track. Typical opportunity thieves will not know this and might think it was like a guitar which is easy to fence.

This is Twilight Zone level stuff. Visited by your parallel universe self.

I saw on Facebook today that Max Wareham got his old Granada back. Great news. No further explanation.

Fantastic! Congratulations on the return of your banjo, hopefully with no problems.
