It's a carnyx - a reproduction Celtic war trumpet. Kind of like a very tall, topheavy kazoo.

In my opinion, that needs to be played on a scarey movie set. Awful sound, hurts my ears.

I like it. Sounds a lot better than some banjos. Kinda like a massive drone string.
Work up a couple of duets, post them here.

Imagine being in the opposing army, camped across the river on a foggy night before the next days battle in the 13th century or so.
Yah, could be scary indeed.

I could have fun messing with my neighbors in the middle of the night with that thing.

Had a length of thinwall electrical conduit, maybe 8 ft, with a curve of maybe 18 inches at the end.
Could blow through that, make a sound somewhat like an elephink. Called it my Tiger Remover.
Would toot that on the front porch, tell the grandkids that it was VERY effective, since there were no tigers within earshot, once I'd finished.
Not as scary as Mrs. Figmo's item, but not bad, for just a leftover from a remodel.

I wonder if it would work used as a Sasquatch deterrent?
