Snow was from Brooklyn, Queen's County, Nova Scotia and started his career as “The Singing Ranger” before his big hit “I’m Movin’ On” in the early 1950’s. His fiddle player for many years was former Blue Grass Boy Chubby Wise. He was also somewhat of an acoustic flat picking pioneer, playing his own lead breaks on songs, as he did on this one. Dan Crary cites him as an influence.
I’m picking my RK77 Elite with rhythm guitar & vocals.
I've also included Hank's version.
