Through a stroke of luck I wound up being "gifted" (long story) with a mini Nespresso machine and 400 L'OR Estremo Lungo capsules. And I'm sold, dang this is good stuff to be so easy. I need four small coffees throughout the day and have relied on the Keurig system for about 20 years now. Their coffee is barely acceptable but there right when I want it without fuss. Well the Nespresso does the same thing, but with a much better result. I don't care that it's not REAL espresso; it has good flavor and mouth feel and I'm happy with it. Any fans?

I was tempted in the past. I used to get freebies of Nepresso while shopping or looking at Williams and Sonoma. And liked it. Go for it! Brad

Full disclosure ever since the Keurig system became popular we have used one, home office. Still use the office one. But the home unit is for when we think we are hurried. Otherwise, we have gone pour over, aeropress, or French press (and grind our on beans on demand).  Brad

We used a Keurig for a long time but switched over to Nespresso 4 or 5 years ago. It’s a little bit more expensive but much better tasting. Now, with all the talk of microplastics, the Nespresso might be healthier too since the pods are aluminum and not plastic.

I love my Nespresso. I even order the caffeine free stuff if I decide I’m in the mood for an evening cappuccino. Other than my robot kitty litter box it’s my favorite recent purchase.

I use a #2 size Melita funnel and do pour over coffee most of the time (1 cup at a time). I also have a MokaPot that I break out when I want something more espresso like. Both are easy and do a good job.

I have been experimenting with coffees lately though. Now I’m on a Tanzanian Peaberry kick. Medium roast and unexpectedly delicious. The good coffees in the store have been getting so expensive that I realized that for a little bit more money I could get really good coffee from practically anywhere in the world. Some of it is really good. (And the companies I deal with are all 'fair trade' and the coffees are organic. So it's not farmed by slaves.)
