Hey y’all,
New member here. My area is basically devoid of banjo life, and I’m unable to find much in the way of reviews for banjos by folks because of it. I’ve had my eye on Gold Tone’s AT offerings for a while now – I love the sound of Ralph Stanley and Doug Dillard’s playing, and I’ve long wanted to emulate that. Does anyone here own any GT archies, and are they worth it? Thanks!

Hi Laine. I've owned an OB250 AT for several years and enjoy playing it. In my relatively uninformed opinion it is definitely worth the money. The retail price seems fair and dealers seem to have some room to sweeten the deal. Finding a nice clean used 'AT' shouldn't be too tough either. They definitely have that arch top sound, IMO. Enjoy the search.

Emiel I played the flathead version of the OB-2 not that long ago (at Music Outlet in Sevierville, Tennessee) and it sounded really good. If only they had the Archtop version! Thanks guys for the recommendations!
