When it popped up on Facebook Marketplace and I saw it at 2am last night, 30 miles away, an original Five String Bacon Peerless, Matching Serial Numbers 203XX, (from late 20's), I had to do a double take. The seller told me that I was the first, but they had numerous contacts and people who wanted to drive from up North. I've never seen another original five string Peerless, and can't seem to find any online. Fantastic old timey sound, great claw hammer banjo.

True, I've now seen mention of only one other, sold in 2005. I imagine that there is only a handful in existence. This one sounds fantastic, very loud and old timey, comparable to a Little Wonder but louder like a Silverbell.
