Gold Tone EB-5 Electric Banjo: Rock n Roll Static
Here is something I came up with while shooting for hard distortion while strumming four strings with my two bottom fingers of my right hand while muting the 5th string with my thumb. Don't try to follow me, as I'm really lost as to where I'm going. I'm not even sure this is in a key or not! I used the Gold Tone stock cheap humbucker at the neck and added one piezo pickup hooked to the bridge. Tube practice amp and condenser mics. Anyway, it doesn't sound like a banjo anymore. ![]()
I'm modifying my other EB-5 for a hard heavy metal sound. It should be done soon. Stay tune for posts from my other eb5, it will have more distortion and cry baby wah pedal plus effects, Bill Larwence Wilde L500XL pickups at the neck and bridge.

I have an EB-5 (which I use for silent practice) and also a 100W tube amplifier. But I guess I will just stick to playing one of my electric guitars if I want distortion... :)
But why not, it's just music! I enjoyed hearing your clip!

Thanks 4 listening Phillip. BTW I currently don't even own a guitar. It's my goal to get a hard rock sound from a banjo with three finger picking and struming with the bottom two fingers of my right hand. I admit, I'm doing it for the attention. No doubt it's easier to use an electric guitar.
