... back in August en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Se...n%27s_Day, but apparently for those of us who were too busy (?) then, today offers a second chance provision canada.ca/en/employment-social...uide.html
That last site says, "Every year on October 1, Canadians pay tribute to all seniors who have helped shape our country and who continue to enrich our lives every day." I guess I've not helped or contributed, so I suppose it's no wonder I've not been aware that it's been "every year."
I only learned of it a few minutes ago .... CBC radio's noon show devotes 1/2 hour to a phone-in so citizens can discuss matters that matter. It's not unusual for them to get no callers ..... spend the entire 1/2 hour schmoozing with a "guest." ..... but today looks like it'll be much better >>> they just had an "email shout-out to [seniors] Delmer and Jean in Manitou."
Gotta go.... don't want to miss somebody paying tribute to Mr. Owen in Russell.
