Where does one find such an animal?
I've seen nickel or chrome plated steel armrests, but don't believe I've ever seen a stainless steel one !

I think it must have been custom made. I have seen armrests that were cobalt plated for people who are allergic to nickel but I have never seen one made of stainless steel.

It's not stainless.

The heading says stainless steel. The item specifics says zinc alloy.

OK. Thanks. Should have looked closer. Has anyone made an armrest of German silver or nickel silver?

I think Dan Drabek made this one. It has been a while since it was posted here. I had to save pictures of it because it was so beautiful. It was made of German Silver and burl walnut.

Dan built some beautiful banjos. I miss Dan's posts. Here's a link to his photos of how it was built. Dan Drabek's Photos - Banjo Hangout

Thanks for posting that link, Marvin. I enjoyed reviewing those pictures again and remembering when Dan posted his progress while building that banjo. I wish I could see it in person.
