One of my tunes. Naming them is getting harder though.

In the UK County Line means is an illegal drug smuggling operation that exploits young and vulnerable people.

I can only hope that listening to this tune will not lead to the exploitation of the young and vulnerable. I did mark it "not for kids" on YouTube so hopefully the adults can handle it.

Cheers Chuck! If there's anything worth stealing I probably stole it from somebody somewhere.

I thought your new one was too much treble and no bottom fullness the other day--sounds real nice now

Another fine tune for the mix. That Double-X seems well-suited for your eclectic playing style.

I'm not a 3 finger/resonator kinda guy, but I really like it.
But since I just saw Dave Alvin (with Jimmie Dale Gilmore) last week, the first thing I thought of was Harlan County Line.

I like both tunes!!
ETA: What's a Double-X?

Beautiful song, beautifully played. Wish I had your talent.
Texas has "dry" counties where liquor is not sold. We had a liquor store in our county (a wet one) that had a liquor store named County Line... just over the county line from the dry county. Everyone there used to come to that store, buy their liquor and transport it back to town.

Thanks Tom I've done my share of playing in loud dance bands and I don't think I'm hearing the highs the way I used to.

Thanks Bill, I don't think Chuck Ogsbury ever made a bad banjo. Nice to know there are some things you can depend on in this world.

Thanks! XX is just the model. They didn't go in for grandiose model names.

Thanks Sherry.
yes, I don't think dry county's stopped anyone getting a drink that wanted one. And even when I was in Austin they had blue laws.

Thank you Paolo! For the chord progression I just followed my ears but I like to check myself with theory after the fact to see what I did from that perspective.
