Lumber Liquidators is going bankrupt and closing the stores according to the TV news tonight. This is a good source of wood for you builders. Most of it comes pre-finished with aluminum oxide epoxy finish but it is easy to remove with a belt sander and 40 grit ceramic grit belts that can be ordered online. After you remove the finish run it through a planer and you can get a nice piece of clean 1/2 inch thick wood that you can use for a Helix rim, a fret board or a laminated neck. Some of the darker pieces make nice skunk stripes.
