Hi folks,
If you are using a neo tech banjo strap: facing the banjo, with the neck being 12 o’clock and the tail piece hook 6 o’clock, where are you attaching the hooks for best weight relief ?
Thanks
Rick

Looking down at my banjo while in playing position, I'm attached one hook past the neck and one hook above the tailpiece. Seems to work fine on several of my banjos like this

I guess this is about 12:15 and 6:15 using your clock analogy.

Usually about 2-3 hooks to the right of the neck, and 1-2 hooks to the right of the tailpiece. So about 12:15 and 5:15 for me. I like the strap to go behind the tailpiece and come out around 6:15 or so right after the tailpiece. That keeps it from wanting to flip sideways and also keeps the strap off the tailpiece if you go to the right of it like I do

I went with the one hook past the neck because the neotech has a strap with plastic quick release buckle on it. One past means that the soft part is against the neck instead of the plastic buckle.
