My wife is a crochet master, and she offered to make me one of these little figurines they call amigurumi.
I don't always put a damper in my banjos, unless they need it.
In fact this tubaphone is the only one that's really needed to squelch unwanted overtones.
So she made me the perfect little guy for a banjo; Kermit!

There’s a new product for you. The Kermit Bolster! You need to race down and take out a patent on that little critter.

Hey, I make those little stuffies! Maybe I could sell them on the Hangout and make a little money.

Yeah, That's kinda the idea.
I'm not sure how quick she can really make these, compared to how much they may fetch.
But with all the cute and silly stuffies I've seen people put in their banjos, I thought "Hey, Kermit is the man!" (I mean frog)

Pretty sure Kermit is already the intellectual property of whomever controls the Henson/Muppet legacy.
And stuffing something in a banjo is nothing new, really.
Although, I wondered why you used the term "bolster". So I googled it and found the Banjo Bolster.
It seems someone has applied for a patent on their 'revolutionary design' of a very attractive stuffed sock...
"Patent pending".
Then on the other hand, Gold Tone is probably applying for said patent as we speak. lol

It's amazing how much people want (and get) for those little cuties. A small one like you showed would probably fetch $15 to $25 on the open market. Check some of them out on Etsy or any of the handwork type sites. I make them and donate them to different hospitals and organizations that give to needy kids on Christmas. Maybe your wife would like to look into something like that.

How about one that looks like Pogo so you can have a Possum on a Rail?
