I can see many eyes rolling at this topic but really, my question is, how to mark finger picks? I bend and shape my picks a little differently between my index and middle finger and I’d like to mark them as permanently as possible to be able to place them correctly the first time. I use a felt tip to color any stamp that may be on them but that doesn’t last very long. What do y’all do?

It's simple; you use a nail, or a pin or some other sharp object, and you scratch a little line somewhere on the finger pick you put on your index finger, and you don't do the same to the finger pick you put on your middle finger. The presence of the little line on one and not the other will allow you to know which pick goes on which finger.

Take a little of your wife's fingernail polish and put it on inside of pick. I use stainless steel picks and paint inside of middle pick. Easy to identify and only you see it. If wears off just add a little more. It shows up at night easily.

I have an etcher that I used to mark my tools, in my working days. These days I use it to write name and number on the back of my dogs rabies tags… and mark my finger picks

I use the old school stuff that you used to use to correct typing mistakes on a typewriter called, "Whiteout." Hardly ever needs a reapplication.
