Hi folks.
I have a resonator for a Weymann model 150 plectrum that needs a bit of restoration. Three of the four slip-on contraptions are missing, but I was able to measure the fourth and make replacements. What I don’t have is a pattern for the two neck heel support bits. They were clearly there at one point; the outline is visible and there are hide glue remnants. I’ve searched for photos, and haven’t come up with anything usable. So, my questions are:
Is anyone with a Weymann resonator with these supports willing to measure them for me? I assume they are two-piece, like the pop-on supports, but would like confirmation.
Is there really any practical benefit? If I don’t have this support, will I find it in some way annoying?
And does anyone have replacements for the springs that hold the resonator on? The one I have is in very poor condition.
I’m also looking for a source for correct hooks and nuts (2 hooks, 1 nut). The usual sources aren’t correct. Close enough if you don’t look too closely.
Thanks for any and all help.
Steven
