Mr Cartoun (aka Stoney Lonesome) is a FINE bluegrass banjo player and rhythm guitar man with whom I have been acquainted for well over 30 years.

In his old age he has gotten into video production. He has great ideas and technique.

I can vouch for the authenticity of the sound track on this video. Indeed recorded on the actual Edison machine by the players you see on screen. I recorded once with these gentlemen on that actual machine. We did a fair rendering of Summertime is Past and Gone as done by Monroe, Flatt, Scruggs, and Wise. Very cool to listen to that playback. Old time records! Better than they sound! A number of such recordings are in the catalog of Open Road Records.

Perhaps the only recording ever made on February 31st (see poster on door at 20 seconds or so).

Very nicely done and great to see again after several years!
