Very sad news to hear about PGA golfer Grayson Murray’s death by suicide at age 30. Apparently he had struggled with anxiety, depression, and alcoholism for years, but reportedly had been sober since early 2023. Players today are wearing red and black arm bands as a tribute, something Grayson did on Sunday’s as he was a big Carolina Hurricanes fan. Condolences to his family and friends.

I heard he bogied 14, 15, and 16. Then he walked off the course, withdrew from the tournament, and drove away. The next morning we heard the news. Terribly sad.

That was indeed sad. It appeared that he had turned his life around recently, but depression may not be something you can control with will power and determination. I know his fiancee and family are totally devastated, as we would all be.
