Wow!!!
Awesome tiger paint job though

I thought the computer landed the planes.

As a retired farmer, I'm impressed by the work of the camera operator and the fact that the landing gear seems to stay relatively intact.

If the video is not fake, it's a testament to structural integrity of the 747.

Which camera operator impressed you. There appears to be several.

This video is 100% computer graphics. If it is not fake, why did they replace the real video footage by a computer animation?

It’s a test ballon to see how much of the population will believe in the AI generated content. There will be more and more of this so much so that we will question every thing and when something happen that is caught on camera that is 100% true the opposition will have an escape clause. “It’s AI” when in reality it’s authentic.

case #1 Randy Travis and et all releases an album that has Travis's voice but we all know since his stroke years ago he can't sing. Nashville has high praise.

case #2 Scarlot Johannessen's voice was used without her consent and now she may take legal action

case #3 scam artist are/maybe using your voice to scam people out of money by calling your family needing money to get out of jail or other nefarious actions.

The content almost certainly isn't AI generated, to me it looks like a clip from a flight simulator that is set to a very tolerant physics model. Such simple fake videos aren't a very new thing, I have seen lots of sequences from computer games showing supposedly spectacular fighting scenes taking place in Ukraine in the past two years. Many such games allow you to record your game play and then later on set camera angles and everything the way you want. The computer can generate the graphics from any angle using just the stored flight path of the plane.

You basically discribed what AI is and how it is produced. AI is computer generated. Artificial Intelligence.

Well, the good news is that I'm  s-l-o-w-l-y comin' 'round .... after a couple of decades trying to farm, occasionally now I don't automatically default to Artificial Insemination when I see/hear AI. yes

wrench13 - Posted - 05/22/2024:  11:28:15

So fake. Only a complete idiot would take this for actual footage.

I especially liked the part where the plane is traveling backwards and still manages to leap up into the air.

I thought it was one of my Marine pilot buddies from Beaufort just showing off for his girl friend!

It's Flight Simulator. It also says that it is 100% not real which is a testament to the ability of people to read. That said, we're probably less than a couple years away from AI producing nearly indistinguishable effects to the human eye and every day will be "can you believe that [insert politician] said that?!"

We're all just polishing brass on the Titanic.

Bill Rogers - Posted - 05/22/2024:  15:40:00

That plane had way too much momentum.

Tractor1 - Posted - 05/22/2024:  18:24:37

many tale tale signs defying it being real--but still some amazing things they did pull off fairly well--warning there are nerds around that will likely get this closer imo

Tractor1 - Posted - 05/22/2024:  18:27:35

not much different than predator or terminator

Information.. (or the ..lack of..) its self can n be used as a weapon..

Same as Deception...

AI is one and a fairly new way of generating stuff using a computer. The video is not AI generated but it is computer generated using techniques that were around before AI such as raytracing, texture-mapping and so on. Videos generated by computers have been around for about four decades, AI is the newest addition to the many techniques that computers provide for generating visual and audible content.

As has been pointed out, the video was made using a computer game you can play on your computer, no AI involved.
