Not to sound too much like a stalker, but is there a relatively easy way to find BH members that are geographically close to me?
I recently discovered a member that is less than 10 miles from me and we've started communicating with the intention of meeting up to show off our banjo collections and hopefully starting jamming, but this happened by accident when I noticed what city he was in.
I'm in a fairly big state, California, so just doing a "state search" in the member search area brings up people who are 400-500 miles away in Southern California.
Any way to narrow the list down?
Thanks in advance,
Chris Bracher

I'm no expert, but I figure it's that when a person opens an account, for whatever reason, he/she doesn't feel comfortable* putting anything more specific than the state. I see the same thing for MB, but ... c'est la vie ??
* = fwiw, I've heard of instances where threats have been made.

Are you using the “city” option along with “state” im your search? As Owen noted, many members don’t list their cities (or any real location). You could always post a request for players in your area in the “other banjo-related” forum.
