This is the good news. The bad news is that they only made one record. After getting the opportunity to play in one of the greatest Bluegrass bands of all time, Tony, Ricky and Jerry all quit the band after playing together for only about a year.

What I read was that Ricky joined initially letting JD know he was going to form his own band in a year or so,, Jerry followed him,, and Tony got the itch to branch out into jazzier stuff and record his own records.
