I miss playing with folks. Are there any open old time or folk jams in the Chicago area, esp on the south side, south suburbs, or Northwest Indiana? I'll travel an hour each way for the right group. Thanks all!

Old-Time jam at Fiddler's Hearth, South Bend, Indiana, 7 to 9 (or thereabouts) Tuesday evenings. This is an old-time fiddle tune jam, very little singing other than what's part of a fiddle tune. Might be a bit far for you, but we get folks coming down from Kalamazoo and that's a bit farther.

Thank you for the reply! South Bend is a bit of a jaunt, but if I get a Tuesday off I'd like to go. Plus I get the time change coming back, so that's always an advantage. Take care.

Waterford, Wisconsin has one. Bit of a haul, depending on where in or near Chcago you are.
If memory serves. it's at MARTY'S Mexican restaurant on the first and third Wednesdays.
